  HR Policy and Work Culture

Human resources play a very significant role in Indorama. The organisation believes in nurturing and developing talent. The mission statement of the human resources and organisation development department is:

"To ignite passion and a sense of belonging amongst employees through appropriate HR development processes and enable them to accomplish the business objectives of the organisation."

Keeping in line with this mission, the HR objective has been to build higher capabilities amongst the employees of the Group. In Indonesia, IMAP (Indorama Management Associate Program) is our premier effort for developing and grooming Indonesian managers. Fresh graduates from diverse disciplines are carefully handpicked and immersed through a comprehensive program before they are assigned challenging assignments across the Group.

The Indorama Group has a very transparent performance evaluation system. We believe in recognising potential and rewarding performance. A balanced scorecard system and 360-degree appraisal system have been implemented and have helped in better performance management. This is also reflected in the fact that turnover among managers is lower compared to industry.

Within the Group, a family type of culture is fostered. Employees are part of the Indorama family. We believe a sense of belonging is very important and try to pay attention to the needs of individuals. Employees are encouraged to work independently and create value for stakeholders. In addition, the Group endeavours to give wide exposure to the employees in various areas of management and technical expertise.

In short the Indorama Group believes that the place of work must be a place of joy and it is to this effect that the Group strives in preserving the big Indorama family.
