Indorama Egypt Petrochemicals Company SAE, Egypt has been incorporated by the Indorama Group to set up an ammonia production facility from natural gas.

Ammonia plants are fast becoming unviable in North America, Europe and East Asia due to high-energy costs. The project will be geared towards primarily meeting the import requirements of Europe and North America as well as African and Asian countries. Indorama is working towards finalising the project approvals.
