The Indorama Group acquired the fixed assets of Misr Shebin El Kom Spinning and Weaving Company, a state-owned company under the privatisation process. The name of the company has subsequently changed to Indorama Shebin Textiles Co. S.A.E. after the acquisition.

Indorama Shebin has excellent infrastructure, good work culture and internationally accepted quality standards. The company exports 35 per cent of its current output to Europe. Indorama Shebin manufactures a very wide product range covering combed cotton, cotton melange, polyester and cotton blends, polyester sewing threads, dyed yarns, open end yarns, rayon and its blends.

Indorama Shebin has 196000 ring spindles and 1680 open-ended rotors with back process. The company has a well-trained workforce of over 4000 employees. The facility is located 70 km north of Cairo at Shebin EL Kom city, capital of the Menoufia Governorate.

The Indorama Group has a worldwide presence in spun yarn and its products are exported to more than 90 countries. The Group exports spun yarns across the globe to reputed customers and vendors to brands like Esprit, Nike, M&S, S. Oliver, Lerros, Jockey, Gap, Spiritex, Adidas etc.

Shebin shares the Indorama Group's network of agents and customers across the globe. The Group intends to market products from Shebin to all its main customers, especially in Europe, America and Turkey.

The Indorama Group is working towards exploring Shebin's locational advantage and logistics to develop new markets for Shebin's products. The Indorama Group's customer-oriented marketing would ensure that Shebin's existing customers would be provided with unmatched service to their fullest satisfaction.

The Indorama Group believes that Shebin El Kom is an excellent acquisition and with the Indorama Group's core competency, would be able to leverage its existing strength into much better performance.
