Established in 1992, Indorama Lanka Pv) Ltd is a board of investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) registered company. The company operates a state-of-the-art textile spinning mill located about 35 km from the capital city of Colombo. Indorama Lanka is the largest spinning plant in Sri Lanka.

Indorama Lanka produces premium quality textile spun yarn, both cotton and synthetic, for high-end textile market. The products are sold to buyers in Europe, North America, South America, Middle East and Asia and the company has created a name for itself in the competitive textile market.

Indorama Lanka has a capacity of 29,376 spindles and 21 TFO to produce electronically cleared, high-quality spliced, siro cleaned, single and double yarns. Currently Indorama Lanka produces 6,500 tonnes of synthetic and man-made spun yarns annually. The plant produces 100 per cent rayon yarn, 100 per cent cotton yarn, 100 per cent polyester yarns and poly cotton and poly rayon blends with count range of Ne 10 to Ne 40.

Indorama Lanka is very particular about the quality of products and all imports are subject to stringent scrutiny. Raw material is imported mainly from the USA, Australia, Thailand, Turkey and Indonesia.

Indorama Lanka is strategically located within 13 shipment days to Europe and 21 shipment days to the USA and benefits from the quota-free access for spun and blended yarn to the E.U. and the US market. Indorama Lanka complements the Group's Indonesian operations by reaching customers not easily accessible from Indonesia.

Indorama Lanka has achieved a milestone by obtaining a license from the Control Union World Group of the Netherlands to produce organic cotton products in Sri Lanka, the only company in Sri Lanka to have achieved this distinction. The International Labor Organisation has commended Indorama Lanka for the high quality living accommodation provided to the company's women employees.
