PT PLN Distribusi Jawa Barat & Banten (DJBB) has entered into a contract with PT Indorama Synthetics to purchase surplus electricity.

The agreement was signed by Mr Murtaqi Syamsuddin, GM, PLN DJBB and Mr Amit Lohia, Vice President and Director, Indorama on 5 September 2007.

The period of the contract would be six months initially with possibility to renew the same with mutual agreement.

Indorama agreed to sell 13 MW of electricity from its 2 x 30 MW power plant, being the excess quantity after meeting its captive requirements.
