We are pleased to announce that our subsidiary, Indorama Eleme Fertilizer and Chemicals Limited, Nigeria, today signed a USD 1.25 billion financing agreement to set up the Group’s 3rd Gas to Urea fertilizer plant (of 1.4 mil tpa) in a free trade zone alongside the existing two plants together with a dedicated export port terminal in Nigeria, scheduled to start up in SH 2026. This long-term funding was led by IFC and SMBC with participation from 15 marquee DFIs and commercial banks.
This growth initiative will play a pivotal role in food security by providing high-quality fertilizers, boosting local job creation in Nigeria, stimulate agricultural growth and contributing to Nigeria's strategic objectives of increasing downstream chemicals with sustainable development.
