In Brazil, Indorama’s Adufértil subsidiary and Raízen have developed a fluid fertilizer storage and injection solution for several locations. The project started in 2022 and is nearly complete, having delivered some 90,000 tons of liquid fertilizer in 2024. The project allows a combination of liquid fertilizers rich in N, P2O5 and S nutrients – along with vinasse, a byproduct of sugarcane ethanol production, which contains K2O. Vinasse was once considered an environmental liability, but is now being used as a sustainable product for soil application.
