Established in 1997, Indo Poly (Thailand) Limited is the consummation of a dream shared between the Indorama Group and its associates the APL Group, Thailand. The intent was to position Indo Poly as a leading Thai manufacturer of high-quality polyester speciality resins, yarns and fibres for domestic as well international markets.

The Indorama Group acquired Siam Polyester Limited in 1997 as a sick unit from the domestic operator and rechristened it Indo Poly (Thailand) Limited. The Group used its expertise in the polyester business to turn it around and Indo Poly become a major polyester producer in Thailand with total sales for financial year 2006 of US$ 126 million and annual capacity of about 93,000 tons. Indo Poly focuses on manufacturing various polyester products including polyester staple fibre (PSF), polyester oriented yarn (POY), fully drawn yarn (FDY) and textile grade chips.

The Indorama Group has always been associated with quality and superior performance. Indo Poly has imbibed these qualities from the Group, and together with state-of-the-art Swiss technology from Inventa AG, has successfully brought out a diversified product mix.
